The important result of the Battle of Buxar was the Treaty of Allahabad, signed on 16 August 1765 between Lord Clive and Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II, who had submitted to the British in battle. According to this treaty: 2015 marked 250 years of Allahabad`s contract. August 17, 1765 signed between the emperor of mogul Shah Alam II and Robert Clive following the Battle of Buxar. With this contract, the East India Company gained a solid political base in India. Before the treaty, the British had only a strong trade relationship with Indian leaders. This treaty was one of the factors that led them to rule India for two centuries. 7. It is firmly committed to restoring its sovereignty to the country of Banara and the other districts which are now leased by Bulwant Sing, regardless of THE KING`s granting of these rights to English society; It is therefore agreed that they will be ceded to Her Majesty in the following way, viz. They remain in the hands of the English company with its revenues, until the expiry of the agreement between Rajah Bulwant Sing and the company on 27 November; Subsequently, its sovereignty was taken into possession, with the exception of the chunar fortress, which was not to be evacuated until the 6th article of the treaty was fully respected.

Dated August 16, 1765. The Treaty of Allahabad was signed on August 12, 1765 and was one of the turning points in Indian history. This event marked the emergence of Britain`s political presence in the Indian subcontinent. The East India Company, founded in 1600 AD, received a solid base in India. Before the signing of this contract, the EIC had only a strong commercial relationship with the Indian emperors.
On October 22, 1764, Emperor Shah Alam II, son of the late Emperor Alamgir II, and Robert Clive, of the East India Company, signed after the Battle of Buxar on October 22, 1764. The treatise was handwritten by I`tisam-ud-Din, a Bengali Muslim scribe and diplomat of the Mughal Empire.  The treaty marked political and constitutional participation and the beginning of British rule in India.  On the basis of the terms of the agreement, Alam granted rights to the East Indian company Diwani or the right to collect taxes on behalf of the emperor of the eastern province of Bengal-Bihar-Orissa. These rights enabled the company to raise income directly from the inhabitants of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa. In return, the company paid an annual tribute to 26 rolled lakhs (or 260,000 pounds) during the safeguarding for Shah Alam II the districts of Kora and Allahabad.
